With 3,000 runners left on a waiting list last year, organizers felt confident that this year's race would grow, and they closed registration when it hit 16,000.

The race is a 26.2 mile race, which is ran on the 1st Sunday of every May in Cincinnati, Ohio. There are two races - the 5K and the 10K and you can get the 2010 Flying Pig Marathon results later on after the race is completed.

It’s raining runners as the Cincinnati Flying Pig Marathon starts at 6:30 am on May 2nd, 2010. This is actually said to be the 3rd largest (first time) marathon in the country. Running has been quite a fad and no one is complaining since this promotes a fit lifestyle and is good for everyone.

The Flying Pig Marathon winners are Brian List, of Milford, who has won the men’s division and Cynthia Arnold , who has won the women’s division. Tilahun Abebe finished second in the men’s division, while Rob Moorwood finished third. Ben Foley and Leslie Kraus, both of Cincinnati, are the winners of the men's and women’s divisions of the 2010 Flying Pig Half Marathon.

“Edwin Valero was taken into custody early Sunday morning on suspicion that he killed his wife, according to police in Caracas, Venezuela. Valero was detained after police found the corpse of his 20-year-old wife in a hotel in the city of Valencia, according to Venezuelan Federal Police Chief Wilmer Flores. According to reports, Valero (27-0, 27 knockouts) left the hotel around daybreak and allegedly told security officials there that he murdered his wife, Jennifer Viera.

Former lightweight boxing champion Edwin Valero was detained today on suspicion of killing his wife. Venezuelan police say the boxer was arrested after authorities found the body of his 20-year-old wife, Jennifer Viera, at a hotel in Valencia. His promoter said Valero was not scheduled to fight any time soon.

Flores told state television that police found three stab wounds on Viera's body. He said Valero was transferred to a local police precinct, "where we are headed to take samples needed for the investigation of the case" and to question the boxer. A representative of his promoter, Top Rank, said before Sunday's arrest that the company had no immediate plans to place him on a fight card until legal and visa issues were resolved.

This is not the first time that Valero has had brushes with the law in matters concerning his wife. In March, he was charged with harassing his wife and threatening hospital officials who were caring for her. His wife was being treated for cracked ribs and a punctured lung, ailments that Valero’s lawyer explained as being the result of her falling down a flight of steps at their home. Valero has battled substance abuse problems and on March 28, he entered a rehab clinic in Venezuela, where he is from.”

His all-action style and 27-0 record — all by knockouts — earned him a reputation as a tough, explosive crowd-pleaser. Venezuelans call him "Inca," alluding to an Indian warrior, while elsewhere he has been called "Dinamita," or dynamite.

Who knew that after two and a half hours of some of the most boring MMA you will ever see, the fireworks would begin courtesy of Jason “Mayhem” Miller.

Somehow Jason Miller entered the ring after the fight as Jake Shields was being interviewed. Mayhem interrupted the interview and asked Jake Shields about a rematch. The audio suddenly went silent, the camera panned away, and the next thing you saw was a full out brawl on Strikeforce. Nick Diaz and his brother Nate Diaz were not surprisingly right in the middle and it was a full out war. Like it or not, it was far and away the most consecutive action show on the entire Strikeforce show.

I think that's the best way for me to mature on and off the court and get to the next level."
